Artist: Aroha Ruha
Artist: Aroha Ruha
Style of weaving traditional, contemporary and
very Maori. Aroha uses alot of traditional materials in
her artworks like harakeke, Kie kie and native wood also
I like the way Aroha bases her artworks on creation Ranginui
and Papatuanuku and the future, her artworks also depicts
the land and the environment in which we live in.
Aroha uses a mix of traditional and contemporary style.
her weave is very traditional and the colours she uses are very
contemporary. Aroha's artwork's are on a very large scale, but
catches your full attention, the use of traditional materials works
well for myself Aroha's artworks depicts the well-being of mankind
and the environment in which we live in.
